Most importantly, he is a proud father of two amazing boys.

As a collegiate athlete, he obtained a degree in sports management from Belmont Abbey College and has also played basketball professionally.

Coach Kia has been a Prince George’s County resident since birth.

For her, basketball started at Laurel Boys & Girls Club at the age of 9, where she was the only girl and leading scorer for two years. While playing basketball, Coach Kia was also a member of the Greenbelt City Stars Double Dutch Team and became a 2X World Champion. In middle school, she played on her first all girls basketball team for Thomas Johnson Middle School as well as the Beltway Lady Cougars.

In high school, Coach Kia began working with kids as a camp counselor. She went on to become a substitute teacher and basketball coach/trainer after graduating from Saint Francis University where she had received a basketball scholarship. Coach Kia has always had a passion about teaching, coaching and mentoring the youth through the sport she loves!

Coach Freeman is a Prince George’s County native and father of two.

He grew up playing soccer for 8 years in NCSL Division One for Freestate Soccer United while also making the Olympic Development Program. Coach Freeman played varsity soccer at Frederick Douglass High School where he was a captain, MVP, and earned all county. He then went on to run track for Towson University.

As the current two-time 6U PG County soccer championship coach, Coach Freeman led the team through weekly practices and games while building their character, skills, strength, and agility.

Coach Freeman always leads with service and development, even in his professional career as a case manager with a strong commitment to serving the needs of disadvantaged youth, including homeless, and special-needs populations. Coach Freeman is excited to bring that same commitment to your children!
